Summer Internship Experience
Explore Current Research at UT.
Stay tuned for Summer 2025 Info!
CREATE’s paid summer research internship spans 9 weeks starting in late May and takes place at UT Austin's main campus. Applicants can anticipate working a minimum of 20 hours/week in a research laboratory within various departments, including Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or Molecular Biosciences at UT Austin. During the program, participants are matched with a faculty research mentor to explore at least one project centered on a current STEM research topic. At the conclusion of the program, participants showcase their contributions during a poster session held in late July.
Throughout the program, participants can refine their laboratory techniques, network with UT faculty and student researchers, earn course credit via UT Extension, and receive financial support via a research stipend.
